Who knows what this vine is? I found it at a friend's house and I would like to know what it is before I plant some in my yard. Thanks folks. You always come through for me when I need info.

I'm pretty sure that is a chocolate vine

Be careful, it appears to be invasive.

Thanks @froggardener and @Gerris2. No worries - the cuttings I took didn't root. It does have a pretty little flower, but I wouldn't want it if its invasive.

Sounds like something the Spousal Unit would like to plant on those 3 horribly steep banks that we can't mow and he is sick to death of weed-eating. I have crown vetch planted but not all of it "took". Last year where it did grow, it really did good. We'll have to see how it does this year.

It is definitely a chocolate vine. Mine has never been invasive, but I garden in a lot of sand and it doesn't seem to travel. It does take a long time to root for me.
