Just wanted to share this with all of you.
I went to the fall Hardy Plant Sale at the Rickreal Fairgrounds today. Needless to say it was like walking into plant heaven. But look what I found at one of the booths.
These are all done by Roberta Stark and they are for the birds (really, for the birds). I gave her an invitation to come visit with all of you. She was also interested in seeing what all of you are creating.
Here are a few photos I took. I wish you could see them in person, my photos don't do them justice.

Lynn: Thanks so much for sharing these pictures! Oh my goodness, these are really wonderful! What a creative and crafty lady Roberta Stark is, hope she pops into this forum and shares some of her ideas. I bet she sold every one of those beauties. I know the birds would love picking one apart for nesting material but I don't think I'd want to share it with the birds ... they are so pretty!

Becky: I posted two photo's here: http://garden.org/thread/view_...

I've since torn the nest apart and little Buttercup is currently sitting in a plant out on my back deck. It's dark outside now but I will try to remember to get a picture tomorrow afternoon.

Those are such unusual wreaths. I wonder if she collects the feathers, or buys them. I'd be screeching at the birds to leave them alone! Too pretty to tear apart!

I think she said a friend has bird and she saves the feathers for her.

I think it would be so much fun watching the birds in the spring gathering nesting material. They would think they hit the jackpot. Thumbs up

They ARE pretty! she's hit on a great idea, and has the talent to make it work!

I'd either lose them to the birds outside, or to my cats inside. If you make one with the intention of giving it as a gift, don't give it to someone with a cat.

I collect all the bird feathers that fall. Maybe I should make a wreath of them, eh?

I know I wouldn't make it as beautiful as these though Whistling

Everything in them are for the birds to make their nests in the spring time. Meanwhile you could enjoy them all fall and winter indoors. Thumbs up

I used to collect bird feathers here and there but I never thought about making a wreath. I had a few feathers from Blue Jays, an Osprey feather, and even a couple of pretty pink feathers from a Roseate Spoonbill:
