I received this as a gift from a friend who does not recall the name. Wonderful scent and robust grower. Does anyone recognize it?

Strongly resembles good old 'Miami Rose' - the scent should be coconut-like if it is.

That was my first impression too, but mine bloomed much darker. Perhaps it was the time of year, since the picture was taken mid-summer. I don't remember whether the picture was taken in full sun or on an overcast day.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

Yours looks closer to 'Rose Red' than 'Miami Rose'. Note the petal shape too. Do you have a picture of the whole inflorescence?

I am sorry, I do not. These are the pictures that I have that have "Red" in the name. My wife took a bunch of pictures of Malaysian Red in 2014, but I never got too interested in plumeria until I had that seedling bloom so early and form seed-pods last summer. Unfortunately, my picture-taking was poor and spotty. Orchids were my "thing".

Thanks for the response! I do detect a hint of coconut in this one! The scent is pleasant but not very strong to my nose.
