When searching the database, if you entered a name, and were sent to the page the first thing you saw in the top right corner was a picture of the plant. Now it is a big ad I don't care about, with the plant picture below it. Pretty much sandwiched between two ads. It took me awhile to realize that was a picture of the plant and not another advert. Really bad ad placement. I know it pays the bills, but I want to search a plant not a bed store ad.

Interesting... I see the ads when I search the Hibiscus, but when I search on "bean 'blue peter'" I see this (no ad):

I moved it back.

The others don't see the ads because they disabled it in the preferences. That option becomes available once you've posted a certain number of photos to the database. Active contributors can turn off the ads altogether.

Much better but it's still creating a huge gap between the date and photos.

Can't really be helped in the case of entries that don't have a lot of data fields. Feel free to disable it, Jay.

In time (sooner rather than later) I'll be making some pretty nice changes to the Plant pages, including making them customizable on a member-by-member basis. Smiling

The entry pages are looking much better now Dave. Thank you. Thumbs up

I'm looking forward to seeing the pretty nice changes to the Plant pages, including custom memeber by member basis. That sounds very interesting. Hurray!

Dave - so how many posts before the ads go away? Just wonder how many years it will take me! Whistling

Thanks for the alteration too! I tip my hat to you.

And for the smaller logo on the banner too!!!!!

Leslie, you should have more than enough database contributions to see the "disable ads" option in your preferences. Based on a previous post by Dave, 100 was the magic number.
