Planteck is offering so many gorgeous itoh peonies for about $7/plant. Although minimum order is 1000 plants, if we can gather enough interest like maybe 500, they will consider selling to us but with a 15% surcharge. It is still not too bad a price per plant. Still cheaper than what you get from Michigan Bulb. Check out their Catalogue 2016 for info.

Their catalog is in pdf so Adobe Reader is necessary. Adobe Reader is completely free from (use only the official Adobe website) Adobe. I think the reader is already embedded into Windows 10 and possibly older versions. Everyone needs Adobe Reader since most government documents are in pdf. I have no idea about the I-pads etc but there are Apple versions available.

I'd be in, Karen. Would they do a mix of varieties? That's the company Alex brought to our attention a couple of months ago, right? They had several not available anywhere else.

I am not interested because I am in Canada.
Also those are going to be tiny, barely plants, from tissue culture.

There are 3 interested members so far. I am going to buy about 15 plants. How many are you going to get, Liz and LG?

Caroline, these are probably available for retail over in Canada so I don't think you need to buy with this group buy. They are very small plants. I think MB gets their itoh supply from Planteck. Only wish MB buyer would get a more robust selection. But they offer only a few each year.

Could you get them to send a photo of the plants you will receive?

I opened the page before when NMay mentioned them a couple of months ago but I'm having the same result now that everyone else is having, getting the "Can't reach this page" error. I'm in for 15 or so as well, Karen, could go for more if needed to make an order. I remember they had several that I'd never even heard of before that were absolutely beautiful. Went back and looked for the string for the names, Oochigeas and Caroline Constabel were the ones I drooled over back then. Sure wish I could open their site but I even did a search for both peony names and tried from the resulting link and got the same error.

Which type of computer is used by those who cannot open the site. I have a desktop with Win 10 and IE 11. No problem with the site or catalog. I do have a lot of 'not responding' with this site and must retry in order to post anything.

Also a desktop with Win10. Have no problems with any other sites, did you try it today and it worked, Jerry?

I don't have any problems assessing the website on my computer or my Ipad. I am sorry some of you guys can't open the website. I still use Windows 7 and Firefox and IE. I clicked on the link above and it would take me directly to the website. There, I would click on Catalogue 2016 and downloaded the pdf file where it has all the information of their offerings and terms and conditions. Here is the file that I downloaded. Can you try this? You will need adobe acrobat reader to view this file.

I get a 'not responding' from your link. my laptop is Windoze (sp intentional) 10 and I use Firefox. I will try it on the desktop where I have Windows 7 and have Chrome, Firefox and Explorer. Not sure about the 'IE' thing. Will ask my daughter the techy whiz. Hilarious!

Assuming I could see what I am guying I would be in for 20 plants. Seems like we are way short of 1000. But then you said they might consider 500. I could go 30 but would hope that the botanical garden would let me 'store' them in their research beds assuming I could get some that they would like to add to their collection in addition to the ones I want to keep. If I turned every bit of my remaining lawn into garden, I would not have enough room. But the ABG (botanical) could make a tidy profit selling them at their spring sale the end of May. So I would call it a charitable donation. Ummmm. Thinking that, bump me up to 40 assuming I can see them. I will try my desktop next.

I tried Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer on my desktop. With IE (figured it out *Blush* ) I could get to the screen that shows all the hits for that url, but when I choose one to open, it says can't open that page. Sighing!
