BBC news yesterday had a story about a tiger that had just escaped from the local zoo. Somewhere in Asia no doubt, I do not remember the details. Was walking down the city streets when it went up to a pedestrian and started to lick their face. If you were casually walking down the street and saw a tiger approach you and then lick your face, what you do, be thinking? Other then the obvious have a heart attack and die. I might have been thinking: Gee, I did not know that tigers lick their prey before eating them. Gene

There was a tiger that escaped from his caretaker here in Houston during the flood that did exactly that. The person that got a hold of him said he was trained as well as a dog. They interviewed in on the news and he was dumbfounded and amazed. He said, "When I told him to sit, he sat!" and ," He did everything I told him to do!".

Sadly, the owner is not licensed to have the wild animal and there is question as to what will happen to the seemingly tame tiger.

Looks like the 9 mo old Texas tiger Nala will be going to an animal sanctuary. This, after someone broke into the shelter where she was kept and tried to steal her! The owner has lost "custody", left the state and does not want to be contacted.
