Hi,

I got an adorable little Aroid called Caladium humboldtii at a botanical garden sale a few weeks ago. I can't find much info on how to care for this particular plant. Is the care pretty much the same as that for the common Caladium or does it have different needs?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Danita, I grow the White version ' Marcel '. I would assume that they care is the same. Likes warm/humid bright filtered light. No Sun. They can go dormant like their larger cousins. Great in a terrarium . I keep mine in the greenhouse year round. They sometimes go completely dormant and sometimes they just sit there over winter. Their tubers are tiny so don't let them get too deep in the soil mix. I keep the soil moist, well draining. Hope this helps !
God gave us wings. He just called them horses
