My daughter sent me these pictures today of some kind of perennial that a friend is giving her. I'm not sure if the two pictures are of the same plant just in different areas and different stages of growth? I know that the one plant is a hosta, but not sure of the others. She lives in mid-central Missouri so it may not even be hardy in my area...

They are lilies. Extremely hardy and very easy to grow usually. Won't know what exactly she has until they bloom but basically are Asiatics.

I thought the bottom one might be a lily of some sort, but I'm still new to them and didn't want to guess wrong! Thank you so much!

Well my daughter has some growing in her yard already, so she should be able to keep these alive! She pretty much lacks a green thumb unless it's really hardy!
