There always seems to be a lot of interest in and questions asked me about growing Fiddle Leaf Ficus as a houseplant. Along with questions, there is also a lot of confusion as to exactly what sort of houseplant the Fiddle Leaf actually is.
Thank you for this article Ken. How timely it is as I recently obtained a Fiddle Leaf Fig myself. I have a notoriously black thumb when it comes to houseplants. I was quite worried about it staying in the same pot for an extended length of time but your article has allayed my fears on that score. I was also concerned about how often I might be able to trim it and your article addressed that as well.
I feel much more confident about the future health of my fiddle leaf fig now.

Hi Ken, my fiddle leaf is finally growing a bit. Took me a while to figure where it was happiest. As far as water, what is your recomendation for when and fertilizing?
