I can change from "have" or "used to have". . . .but how do change from "have" PLANT. . . to "have" SEED?

When I first added to my plant list, I listed items as "have" plant, particularly for 2015 variety tomatoes . . .but (as I was dis-satisfied with those varieties) I "have" seed of those 2015 varieties and "have" plants of new 2016 varieties . . . which might become "have" seed if they don't measure up!! Hilarious!

There is no way to select what you have, just have, want, or used to have. What you can do if you no longer have the plant is select "used to have" on the edit page. Then add a note that you have seed in the comment box at the bottom of the edit page. Make sure you add a note whether they are available for trade or not.

Another option would be to create a separate category for "Seeds." (You can put the same plant into more than one category.)

@Horntoad Thank You! That worked wonderfully! So simple!!

@woofie thanks for another option. It's much more complicsted, plus I've already edited my "used to have" list; your reply also pointed out another "How to...." for this newbie: how do I make categories in my plantlist??????? Shrug!

When you go to your list, over in the blue column there should be a link to "Manage categories." That will take you to the area that allows you to add categories or edit existing ones. That's also where you can select whether to have your category private or visible to all.
