Hi & welcome! Are you in zone 6?

Abutilons are usually called flowering maple.

Chinese lanterns are Physalis.

Which plant is the one in which you're interested? The hardiness zone listed for each plant will show whether or not your zone is included, assuming the particular plant is a perennial.

Hi Gsk and Welcome to the NGA!

Your Abutilon will do just fine out doors until you start having freezes .. they definitely are not perennial for your zone but do awesomely well in pots.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
