Prior to this the databoxes were sort of all over the place. Moderators could edit all data directly. Everyone else had to submit a proposal and have it approved. The data was inconsistently applied across the DB.

So, I've reworked it quite a bit and I think it's perfected now (knock on wood!)

Starting now, all users (including moderators) go through the same system to set or edit the details to a plant. You go to the plant and click "Edit the details about this plant" at the bottom. Then make whatever changes you deem appropriate, and then click "Preview the proposal". That'll show you the full preview of your changes, and you can further change it or else finish by clicking the Save and submit button at the bottom.

If you are a moderator, as soon as you save it you are immediately given a button to immediately approve your own proposal.

Moreover, moderators now get acorns for making edits to plants through this proposal system.

I have tested this extensively and it seems to work well, but as always, I will want to know if you find any oddities!

I like the preview then submit , gives me a chance to catch my errors.
I think I submitted some incomplete information by hitting the wrong button( *Blush* ) earlier. Is there someone I should report this to or will the moderators catch and toss it ?

If you accidentally submit an empty proposal, it'll be seen, noticed and deleted.

I think I deleted an empty proposal or two from you today. Smiling

Dave,
Editing is only accessed in the "creation" portion, yes? Suppose you want to go back to a created entry and add/delete something? How do you access "edit this entry?"

Go to the plant in question and scroll to the bottom for all the options, including proposing changes to the data.
