I have no idea what happened here...... I planted some of regales and that is fine and then I ordered some mixed bulbs and it had regales in as well.....so quite a few regales around here......most are sorta popping up out of the ground but then the one has a lily sign marked regale I put in and it has come up with 7 plants instead of last year 1 bulb........How does a bulb split 7 ways??? they are not small by any means and tight together......... This was not a super duper breeder bulb so no idea......and not oversized last year either...........but did come up and bloomed nicely

any thoughts??

I had this happen to an oriental last year too in the same bed as well............but it never bloomed the year before at all..........
so find this one rather odd

I have no idea why this might happen and I am to pooped for logic or reason right now. While it may be a mystery right now if your are going to have an over abundance of regales then you can feel lucky...I have an over abundance of every weed known to man. Sigh.

I can not see to find any answers and since it is the same size all of them in relation to the other that are coming up I would say they will all be Regale. I know you can take Regale to another lily for a cross but not sure Regale will allow that to happen from what I remember someone else saying......
weird but good I guess.......
they are so close together would love to split them up some but not doing that for now...............do not think that would be a good idea.......
