Here is where you should post comments and questions on the recipes found in the MAG Recipe Book in the http://garden.org/forums/view/midatlantic/]Mid-Atlantic Gardening Forum . Please do not post recipes in this thread.

I've put the recipes for the baked beans and a 'basic' chocolate cheesecake in the MAG Recipe Book thread.

Rats! I never got around to trying the wines, Lisa, so sorry!

That chocolate cheesecake is to die for! Along with Robin's brownies, I am in coca heaven!

Thanks for the threads, RIckM
Plant it and they will come.

I posted the recipe for a basic chocolate cheesecake in the other tread. From that, you can make any combo you can think of that has a chocolate 'base'

I never did get to try the brownies. Sad By the time I had room, all that was left was a bit of hard crust in the corners! Larry loved 'em.

The spinach-red pepper dip is addictive, as was the warm artichoke dip

Larry is requesting the recipe for the guacamole dip. I think Martina made it.

Thanks!

Requesting that salmon spread/mousse recipe, so very yummy and I'm sure it is healthy too, doesn't salmon have those good fats in it. Hilarious!

Yep, Martina made the guacamole... I'll ask her for the recipe. I think the big thing is that she's an expert at telling when avacados are perfectly ripe.

I'll have to add the recipe for "those" meatballs. They were so popular around here one year that a friend's husband went to 5 stores looking for the chili sauce... at the last store, when he asked, the employee said, "Oh! You must be making those meatballs!" I'll try to do them for the fall swap.

Salmon Mousse recipe has been posted -- thanks, Lisa!!

I ate the last of the salmon mousse on cucumber slices for lunch... and then the kitty-boys took turns polishing the "empty" container.

I added the Krab spread that I think I've brought once or twice. It's another easy one. Smiling

For some reason I never even saw the spread with desserts. I was wondering where they were. But my tummy was too full anyway. I will write the recipes one of these days. I love the spinach salad, looked in the Internet, but not sure it is the correct one. Also love the beans--I am going to look for the recipe thread. Still learning to find things----

Here's the link: The thread "Mid-Atlantic Gardeners Recipe Book" in Mid Atlantic Gardening forum

Rick, maybe you could edit your top post to include the link? I also dropped Catmint a note to see what she thought about making the recipe thread a "sticky" for a while. I like the separate comments thread, but the recipe thread slides down too fast!

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
I had always gone to the old "Extras"--have the link to that on my Desk Top.
There were so many other things on there that DG had.

I am assuming it still works?

It looks like it is all jumbled up at this time. So many neat things you could get/do...

Gita, are you talking about the old Dave's Garden Cookbook?

This thread (and the one now stickied to the top of this forum, where the actual recipes are posted without comments/discussion) is just for our favorite Mid-Atlantic recipies, starting with some of the many delicious dishes at the spring swap.

Francine, thanks so much for posting your noodle recipe (excellent cooking directions!) and drink recipe. I was startled to see the cashew fruit juice in the ingredients.. I tried the various tropical juice concentrates stocked by a local Latino grocery and loved them all, except the cashew fruit -- ugh!! But the drink you made was amazing, so maybe cashew fruit has to be mixed with other fruit flavors... or maybe I just had a bad bottle of it LOL.
