I am dressed, need to take a picture of the interior of the car before I unload it, my sister asked what kind of plants I got, haha.

For Mothers Day, I got a Cobrahead weeder and a hori-hori. I feel like a garden warrior!

Joyanna brought me breakfast in bed... first, a dish of the wonderful fruit from Francine's drink, then toasted slices of the bread Lisa's DH made, spread with PB. And coffee, of course!

I'm still in my caftan... moving plants around but not doing any digging yet. No weeding today, I've decided.

I think Joyanna and Jim are planning to put my new Aldi's plant stand together. I had a bench just outside the back door for a while, against the house... we seldom sat on it, in part because it always seemed to be full of plant pots (how does that happen?). So I think that might be the ideal location for the plant stand!

Yes, happy mother's day to all the moms! I am heading to my brother's house shortly for the annual surf and turf mother's day dinner for our mother and my sister in law. I'm not a mom so I know I should help, but my brother takes on all the cooking on this day

Hope all the moms had/are having a happy mother's day. And a special thank you to SallyG for her thoughts. My mother has been gone almost 4 weeks now and would have been 95 today. She loved her garden.

Yes, Pat and Muddy are particularly in my thoughts today! Hard to switch to a caretaker role, harder still to be missing your mom, especially today. Hoping for happy memories to help with the rough ones.

Two of the Black Swallowtail chrysalises I had nurtured in my fridge all winter long eclosed today. They were fluttering around in the butterfly tent when I went to check on them this morning. I only had a chance to get this one photo before they flew away. Their "births" definitely made a bittersweet day brighter.

Wishing all the moms had a great day. I had 17 people here for dinner, that made for a multi-family event. Jen brought her in-laws and BIL. We had a great day, And I enjoyed hosting. I just had to give up a beauty of a yardening day.
