Yes, no luck, they had some pretty ones but none were fragrant. Okay, that sounds like a plan. I need to get some more Nuevo leon salvia from BS also

Okay, we can scout for 'tunias. The Great Outdoors may have them, but we'll have to rob a bank to pay for them!

I went to my local summer garden shop and smelled all of the petunias and found none with an odor.
When they went on sale in late spring, I went back and decided to buy a hanging basket of purple and pink ones for half price. As soon as they were in my car, I couldn't believe the incredible smell. They have continued to smell wonderful on my deck Don't trust your nose the first time!

Mary, glad you are enjoying your petunia basket. I find most petunias have a scent, you just need a good nose to smell them. I love them and have many containers on the deck and patios.

The scent of mine wafted across the garden on the breeze in large planters two years ago, no trouble smelling them en masse--usually stronger in the evening.
