I took some pictures of my over grown Bristol Queen! I splited with a small handsaw because the roots were 2"inches thick!
I hope you find the pictures interesting and for new people never seeing a old Christmas cactus rooting system this will be educational. I hope you like the pictures! I do have segments available! Send me a tree mail.

Hi Alisa,

That is awesome. The most awesome part is that I have a Thanksgiving Cactus that is about 25 or 30 years old that is shockingly pink just like yours. It also has very woody stems and occasionally it falls apart and I give pieces away. So its never bigger than about 30 inches across but often hangs 3 feet down (sitting on a plant stand).

Obviously, that was the 'IN' color 25 years ago. Smiling

I don't want to lose the flowering blooms and I have a bad back! I couldn't lift the pot for watering! So, I need to separate the plant in two pots. I grow indoor, too!
