Well I didn't donate either. I did just a few crosses last year and nothing in my mind that was special about them. Same ol' same ol' as we say here. Then this spring I started just 5 batches of seeds and two of those were my grandkids' initiations into pollinating lilies Thumbs up .

I always end up with something in my shopping cart for lily seeds at the seed sale. It's one of those things I look forward to..

Tracey, your donations looked very interesting to me, especially Stroinaia x Sonnentiger.

Oh wow - can you see the seed lots if you're not a donor, Connie? I tried but it asked for a password....

I had checked the NALS site the day before the seed ex opened, and was actually not going to check anymore this year. I was bummed, and figured (feared that) something catastrophic had happened in the lives of Paul and Michael that precluded the seed ex. I wouldn't have cared that much about the seeds, except the seeds I donated were quite rare species forms and it would be a shame not to get them into circulation. But I wasn't planning on ordering anything; I need more lilies like a hole in the head. Still, $16 later, I guess I should eat my hat! Hilarious!

More donors from Minnesota than anywhere else this year! (He says unapologetically)

It's been neat to finally donate to the seed exchange. The diversity in material in the list, through different countries and hybridizers, is pretty cool. Enjoy adding diversity even if I don't need anymore seeds to start... You kind of just gotta go for it, at least a few.

Congrats to MN on the donation level, a lot of lily history there and continued lily interest.

I am a bit confused. I checked the list but the dates are confusing. When can we order seeds if we are a NON-donating on seeds but a member of the NALS?

Yes, confusing. It looks like they didn't update the dates for making orders from different groups (donors, NALS non-donor members, general public).

It seems like it's getting later and later every year. What I've been doing the last couple years is freeze the seed until my next seeding cycle, usually late Feb/early Mar. for me.

My seed order came today! (Donors get to order a little earlier.)
