Okay, this is kind of weird and I thought I was just forgetting what I had already read... but on the pets forum just now I KNOW that the system skipped a couple of posts after this one, and then took me to a later post ... http://garden.org/thread/view_...

if that makes any sense.

In other words, I made a post, then later went back to the thread and when I clicked on "first unread" it took me several posts past the last one that I had actually seen. Confused

Once you make a post, it will reset your time viewed to just after your post. So the First Unread link will take you to just after your last post you made.

That's what I mean, though -- instead of doing that, it seems to be skipping over a couple of posts past my last post. But, if no one else has been having that happen, maybe I'm imagining it. (That seems more likely than for the system to randomly be jumping ahead in some of the threads... unless other people have noticed it happening too.)

I've noticed it as well. Not consistent, but sometimes there are 2-3 posts that are skipped. I've sort of formed the habit of scrolling back up to make sure I've seen the posts in front of where I've landed Smiling .

Thanks, Donald -- that's exactly what I've been seeing (or thinking I'm seeing...). I feel much better knowing it isn't just me!

I think this has only been since the ATP/NGA merge, but not certain of that.

I just noticed while I was on the vines forum instead of going to first unread it went to the last post I read. I was on my phone, don't know if that makes a difference.

Maybe Dave is working on it...

I'm using a PC with Chrome, if that helps track things down at all.

It's happened to me a couple of times on my iPad, just now on the Plant ID forum was one instance. Another similar thing has happened a few times too, where I click/tap to go to a forum and it takes me to the bottom of the list of threads instead of the top.

Cheryl, does it just stay there for you then? I've noticed that it kind of pauses at the post on top of the page, but then jumps down to the "first unread" post.

This has happened to me as well occasionally. Heh, I thought it was just my aging brain skipping over things. And I've also noticed what Sandy mentioned, about it pausing at the post at the top of the page before jumping down. It's been infrequent enough that I just thought it was a hiccup in my display.

The "pause" seems to be related to the length of the thread -- it's quite pronounced on the pets thread in the Sandbox.
