Hi!
I's me again
the plants did very well over winter and are growing bigger
, but I have now a new problem - my boyfriend is building a "guitar workshop" on our property so I'm moving all my plants on the location where the building is made.
Now I'm not sure where to plant my irises
On both sides of the building is a triangle where I can have my plants, but there's also a slope behind that needs some vegetation.
In one of the triangles I planted all my roses that I have, but the second on the right is still empty;
My question now is... where to plant the irises? Both, the triangle and the slope are enough sunny. My first thought was that I would plant them in the triangle, but my boyfriend is not really happy about the idea - he want something seasonally in the triangle, like for example tulips for spring and gladiolus in the summer, especially because he will have visits from customers, so the place needs to be constantly in bloom; pretty and neat.
I said to him that when the irises will establish and grow it would be pretty enough and that I bought irises that bloom at different times so it will always be something in bloom in the summer and that I will combine them with gladiolus until they expand enough.
Still, because I'm a beginner I'm not sure if this is the right choice.. I'm also liking the idea to put them in the back - on the upper part on the slope - is that too steep? In this case I would have the triangle for seasonal plants
Any thoughts? Please, let me know if you can, I appreciate any opinion
