I bought a clump river birch 10 days ago and have yet to plant it. I have watered it and it has been raining. Yet the leaves on 3 of 5 shutes have turned brown. Should I go ahead and plant it or return it to the nursery?
If not, would you be able to post an image so that we can assess what might be the cause? If not, you might try calling the nursery and see what they think.
Do the leaves look anything like this picture?
