It isn't goldenrod that makes you sneeze. It's the ragweed that grows beside it. Let's take a look at this golden beauty that many would like to banish. Aunt Bett and I never could convince Mom that goldenrod didn't cause her allergies; maybe I can convince you.

My dog will drag me all over our property to eat goldenrod leaves when her stomach is upset. She will only eat goldenrod. Amazing. I figured it helped her stomach but I still don't know how she knew to go for the goldenrod. Thanks for a great article.

Hi Tami,

Seems to me animals and plants have secrets we can never understand.
Plants hold medical mysteries; animals just seem to know them.
