Thread OP

About 4 days ago we noticed something about 5 inches high growing in the lawn. It is now about 2 feet tall. Looks like it might bloom purple flowers but not sure. During the day, it stands straight up but as the day progresses, it begins to bend so that by late afternoon, the plant looks like a candy cane. It proceeds to bend until top of plant is touching stem but next morning, it stands straight up. What is it??
THANKS

Yes, please. A picture would be most helpful. Also, if you could tell us where on the planet you are. That would help us narrow it down if it's a difficult one.

And Welcome! !
