My garden did not like the winter weather conditions. The newer single plantings did OK, but the established larger clumps are not blooming well. There was a lot of bed erosion over the winter and some complete wash outs with all the heavy spring rains. So bloom is progressing, even if somewhat spotty.

Yes Jolana - they all do! One of my major projects this spring has been to replace all the old wooden markers with new metal ones.

Hope to solve the fading name problem and to put an end to the dogs' fun pastime of pulling them out and chewing them up!

Three years ago I received an order from Schreiners. After unpacking the box, at the bottom there was a little iris nub. I decided to plant it in the nursery bed and hope that it would bloom and be something nice. Finally, this morning - here is what I found.

Rob - weather permitting, the local club will be visiting next Saturday. Should be about peak bloom by then. I just hope that I can have the whole thing all cleaned up in time.

Pam, I can tell you from experience that when those "Garden Visitors" come to "see the iris", 75% JUST "see iris", 24% "look at ALL the flowers", and 1% ONLY see the weeds......and will point out every one they see !! That said...it's a good time !

I tend to notice the flowers in other people gardens, but in my own, I see the weeds!

Tom, I am sure your garden is wonderful, but I understand too. I am downsizing several of my older daylilies because it drives me nutty to see weeds! I have to cut back somewhere while I live with mom.

I just love Montmartre!! I have a order in with Wild Iris Rows and went to the website to add it. It is SOLD OUT!
