I appreciate that , The red blooms seem to bring more Hummingbirds and butterflies to the wildflowers I let grow ,
I don't see that I will have much to offer this year ,
I might get a few though Perhaps 4 or 5 Echinacea , and a couple Daylily ,
I thank you for the ones I do have

Thank you for the reminder that this was open ,,

Thank you DnD,, The milshake was a purchased plant that never blomed double , slow to happen and grow , White swan can be slow but is a strong plant . I have a red and a pink about to bloom also ,,

I know most of these are better wintersown , But a few grow from the time they are ripe ,

Like the Hemerocallis not all have to be wintersown , only most do better that way , My Hyperion will grow from seeds the minute they are ripe ,,,
I am waiting on the next four seedlings to bloom .
Kind of a disappointing year for me ,as few of my annuals grew , Mostly two types of zinnia and Tithonia are growing , others just bad luck and bad weather ,
Greens all did well though , food instead of blooms is a good conselation ... All things plants and weather Hilarious!

Patiently waiting for my garden to start producing. Instead went to the supermarket and bought strawberries to make jam. My husband got me a pressure canner for my bday. I've never had homemade jam, explains why I never ate store bought!!! It's so delicious, working on a second batch since I sold some from the first batch.

Dogndaylilies - I don't eat jam, I don't like it from the store. But I've fell in love with homemade jam! I did 2 batches of strawberry, then I'm doing orange marmalade and blueberries. I hope to get pomegranates from my mom and make it into jelly in September.

Jimard - yes lots of sugar went into making it lol. I want to try to lessen the sugar or I'll end up diabetic because it tastes so good. I can't use artificial sweeteners because I'm allergic to them, it triggers migraines instantly! It wasn't fun figuring that out.

Sorry it took so long for me to join but like Jim my flowers haven't done well at all! I was wondering if I'd have any seeds to offer at all. I just started harvesting some kale & spinach seed. For flowers I hope to have some marigold, dianthus, snapdragon and maybe some lavender moonvine. The rest don't seem to be producing any seeds. I've made lots of daylily crosses so I should have some harvested by the time the swap starts. My late season daylilies haven't even started blooming (coming to the end of midseason now) so those pods won't be ready in time for sure.

Are the yellow pods really sweet PEAS, or a snow-pea-pod or snap-pea-pod?

I had a yellow-podded snow pea once, with two-tone purple flowers. Very pretty, but the pods I got tasted like cardboard. I traded some seeds to someone, and hers tasted much better where she grew them out.

6' vines need support.
Two-tone purple blossoms. lemon-yellow pods
sow early spring, best picked small. peas have nutty flavor.

@RickCorey I don't know if they're or not. I got them from a swap and the only info that I have is Golden Sweet Pea. They do have purple flowers. They might be a snow pea since they germinated on 4/23 and we had cold weather! I haven't tasted them yet, the plants died in our unusual high heat. But my other peas are okay and I'm going to be planting some more for a fall crop.

Aww! That's too bad.

The ones that tasted bad for me were yellow snow pea pods growing in our early-summer. That's as cool as most place's late spring, but still not "cold" weather. Sugar snap and super sugar snap tasted great at the same time as the yellow pods tasted like cardboard. Both vines were growing fast and making lots of peas.

I'm getting ready! I started cleaning seed that I harvested this year. I'm hoping more seeds ripen before the swap starts or else my offerings will be pretty pitiful.

Has anyone else noticed smaller seeds and/or smaller numbers of seed produced this year? Seems to be the case for most of my flowers. Wondering if the drought is the cause since the bees are as busy as ever!

Mine are the opposite , too much water most of the time However a lot of tiny seeds , YES , and a few that are larger than I buy My Scabiosa Knapwed as example , Lot of small seeds and few larger than you could buy ,

Interesting is no averages ,,

I will likely make the 20 offers I only may have veryfew of some seeds I do not plan on taking many picks this year

Here are the Red Sorghum cane from Littlecheryl last season .
3 feet over my head ,and flowering ,
