DW would go after Plumerias, Ginger, Desert Roses, ok about everything - I wouldn't have to do a thing :)

One of these years we will get to a point where we can retire and just fill our days with something we enjoy.

Retirement has been great though I seem to work "harder" than I did when I got paid for a day's work. Rolling my eyes.

From a news article - "the oil industry's job cuts have reached 342,000 since the downturn began."

If one or both of us get layed off then its - "Put your hopes of moving out of HOA onto 5 acres on hold for another 4 - 5 years" , also could mean that we purchase no more plumerias for a long time Angry Sighing!

I am a database administrator and my wife is a manager / project manager so we can float into about any type of business. It just bites that we both kind of ended up working in O&G.

With difficulties and challenges, new opportunities can open for you. The O & G industry has always been sort of boom/bust, at least as far back as I can remember, some 70 years. It does appear that the price of crude is coming back, slowly but surely. The entire world's economy has been pretty much in a recession for almost a decade now and that's what has to turn around for O & G to do well.

I wish you both the best in this period of turmoil.

Mine are getting there... They seem to be forming points with a spiraling effect for the leaves..They are still small I'm trying not to look all the time( yeah right )...I'm playing the waiting game...I would imagine in the next few weeks or so I should have some flowers..I see a little red at the very tips I'm wondering if that could be an indication of color....

They are going quite well, Stewart and Cindy. The Celadine is over 6' tall and I needed a ladder to get "proper" pictures of those flowers. Tip-toes didn't get the job done. Whistling I think the Madame will begin opening today.

Only have two in bloom right now - Lemon Drop and Pink Kiss - the Pink Kiss is the one with almost 11 month old pods on them

Now if the other 26 would bloom, like Right Now - that would make me a happy camper

I love that Pink Kiss, Stewart. My Vera Cruz Rose and Slaughter Pink are close to the same color but neither of those plants have an inflo. yet.

Thank you, Jeff. Momma Nature is in charge of all this. I don't do much. The difference this year is that I simply have more mature plants and more mature plants will have more branching and more inflo. At least that's been true for mine. I wish I could just let mine grow tall and huge, but I can't. Taking all the cuttings I do will always limit me when it comes to tips and flowers.
