I bought a clivia 2011 and the plant doesnt grow, it looks the same like when i bought it 2011. Is that normal or is it like a "special"one.
I grew only one leaf, the roots are healthy and thick.

I bought my Clivia years ago in Bloom. It was a large plant then. Now it is even larger, so many years later. It is quite a specimen plant today. They do not grow very quickly at all. But for your
plant - 5-years later - it should be much larger then when you bought the plant in 2011.

Yes, clivia is a slow grower. However, not thst slow. Your pot seems overly large for the plant. Clivia loves to be pot-bound. For some reason, a small home makes it grow. They also like bright shade.

Thanks, i will search a smaller pot for my clivia. I searched in the web about clivias like mine with pointy leaves and i found one that gets bell like blooms.
Clivia gardenii is the name.

Everything is slow for my clivia this year. I usually have flowers en masse. I chalk it up to our mild winter. Clivia need a cold "rest" time to bloom. It just wasnt cold long enough. This last bloom didnt even emerge fully before opening. Its only 6" tall! Even then, the individual blossoms are opening at all different times! It still brightens up my yard. Thumbs up
