The downside is it only displays the 3 most recent images. That's not really much but I didn't want to overwhelm the homepage.

Now that we have the database, and other features coming up in the months ahead, the homepage is going to need some attention from me at some point...

I noticed it today and I reallylike it also.It draws attention to the database and one can always just zip over there when one wants to see more. The entire plants database is a great feature.
