Blinking ha ha, Linda! Dave's been fooling around with it. To make it larger, hold the control key and use the scroller on your mouse to get it the perfect size for you!

Oh, Wow, thanks Becky. I have never done that before. I was not sure even which was the control key, but I got it. Nice big dark type now. Thanks both of you. Hurray!

The thread "Using Recylcled Glass as Mulch in the Garden" in Garden Art forum

Sandi, from Austin Texas, posted this in the Garden Art forum. Does anyone know if we have a service for recylced broken glass mulch here?

Mom(valleylynn) introduced me to ATP and I am excited to see this southwest forum. I live in Las Cruces, NM, just recently we brought some plants from Oregon to see how they will do in NM. We brought back some poker lilies and created a semp/sedum bed. The semp/sedum bed is posted in that forum with pictures, turned out very cute and they seem to be doing well so far. I am excited to explore the rest of the forum and see what grows well with little water. Smiling

Welcome! Denice, I hope your plants do well in NM. Oregon is such an amazing state for summer blooms....I visited there once and my mind was literally blown away by the plants in the nurseries!

I know it is always so green, but I'm trying to adapt to a different variety of plants while here in the southwest. Not quite as lush and definitely have to find hot weather, water tolerant plants.

I thought I'd lurk a bit over here to see how you folks garden in the SW. I'm a native Pacific NWer and approaching retirement. My husband has it in his head that we will simply sell the farm and move to Arizona (he loves the heat, me not so much). We've visited there once, to see the Grand Canyon. That was years ago in the winter (beautiful with the snow). We do have many friends who have relocated, as either snowbirds or on a permanent basis, and plan to take a couple exploratory trips to just see the region a bit at different times of the year. No rush. So, I may pop in now and again to ohh and ahh your flowers and try to get a feel for your gardening style.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

Hi Deb ! Welcome!

Arizona has a lot of beauty but also lots of heat and drought. Crying Way different from where you are at for sure. It would be a good idea to visit in the summer to get an idea of what you are headed for if you live here. Sad Winters are good but we have a long summer. Whistling
