Took a pic of my big brugs when they were blooming about a week ago. They are outside our bedroom windows..........oh, it smells so wonderful when I go to bed at night. Well, not now, since they are done............LOL Also one of my hanging basket brug.

Anna, They are looking great! Was your weather cool enough this summer for them to bloom? I'm enjoying all the gorgeous Brug photos everyone has been posting.

We had over 80 days of 100ยบ+ weather in addition to the worst ever single year drought and if my Brugs didn't die, they went dormant.

It was pretty hot during july...........usually we get that stuff in August, but Aug. was pretty decent. They did pretty good, actually better than I was expecting with all the heat. But, it wasn't as hot as what you are. I've noticed that "Wretched Mess" seems to bloom much better in the greenhouse...........so I believe that it doesn't like hot weather at all. I keep the g'house heater set at 58. Had lovely blooms about Feb. Big Grin

Gordon, yes they are the same in that photo that are blooming. The ones that aren't are different. The big ones are the originals I bought in 2004 (those are the 3 huge ones) and I took some cuttings off of them..........I have too many of the peach. LOL Actually, when I purchased them, the stated color on the little box was pink, orange, and white. Hah...........joke was on me. I'd love to have a really true orange; I think someone may be sending me a cutting.

The basket one is not the same, I got it from Logees a year ago and it has done beautifully. Now I can't remember if it was Inca Sun or Summer's Dream...........I think they are both basket brugs, but sieve-brain can't remember. I'd like another basket one, as I have another 24 inch basket that is begging me for a brug. Big Grin
