I absolutely love this hosta, for its subtle colouring and its lovely shape. But it isn't one of the most slug resistant - having discovered Strulch (mineralised straw mulch) the slug problem was resolved, but this year the rabbits have had a go at it:

Does anyone know of an alternative that has the subtlety of colours and also resists slugs? And what do you all do to deter rabbits? I won't kill rabbits, but would dearly love to put them off eating my plants!

Beautiful hosta. That's been on my list a long time.

I would try 20% ammonia and water in spray bottle or sprayer. Kills slugs, hostas like the trace of nitrogen, deters deer unless really really hungry. Should deter rabbits. Of course must reapply after significant rain.

Good luck.
