There used to be a small garden shop that had a guy working for them that spent his time doing really creative stuff. I wish I remembered exactly what he did with some of the chairs. (Wonder if I bought my chairs there when they were closing?) Seems like he'd use peat moss along the seat and then plant really pretty annuals in colorful combinations. He also did some really cool mosaic stuff. I bought an incomplete bird bath b/c I thought one day I'd at least re-use the tiles. Sigh. Still haven't done it yet. But it's the light green upside down doodah in the picture above that shows my 'spare parts'.

More junk. This is the top half of a double boiler. The bottom had a copper bottom and has developed pin holes. I'd sort of planned to use this for an orchid since the bottom is full of holes, but I think I'm going to plant this Portulacaria afra 'Spekboom' - commonly called 'Elephant Bush' - in it and hang it here. I'm having to continually move the plant because the squirrels will eat it if it's easily accessible. I was considering just getting rid of it, but if I can get it suspended it'll probably be too much trouble for them. I wonder if the birds are going to like that handle for a perch?

More junk . I have a bucket full of different sizes and shapes. I've started using them when I make a sling. Not putting up electric fences now and new insulators are plastic and unattractive (there's a bucket of those too ).
