I'll be watching this stalk, if it's an accidental cross it's semi-Noid X semi Noid. Kinda Pfffft.

But I like it so far, next bloom should have a little more to say?

I *think* it may be a "chemically affected" stalk. Just a guess, but, it does look like Roundup damage, to me Shrug!

Interesting observation. I'll have to ask the neighbor if he sprayed anything in the area. I mow and trim the small patch between our garages and he tends to our shared side lots in the front. He's more a fetilizer fan, I do know he sprays Weed-B-Gone to fight "my" dandelions that try to invade his perfect turf, lol. Sticking tongue out

I appreciate the info. I'm pretty picky about how and where I use herbicides and I've never noticed such bloom damage/modification. I've used nothing near these as I grow Glads and veggies nearby. Stem's already tagged and the overgrown clumps will meet division later in the season. I've got a tag on it for future reference. Thanks! I tip my hat to you.
