A beauty! That's a lot of leaves to rake!
I wonder if that particular oak leaf composts better than, say, a White Oak.
“Don't give up too quickly"... unknown, I heard it somewhere.

That was/is a beautiful tree indeed. It was right across the street from our house when we lived in San Antonio. In fact, this photo was taken from my upstairs office window.
As for the composting, I don't know.
