Went out of town Sunday and there was a red bud on a rose bush that has been struggling. I was so excited. When I came back yesterday, this is what I found. Not only on this one, but all the buds are gone on my Joseph's Coat rose. : '( Is this a mealy bug?

That is a mealybug nursery. You don't even want to know what they are doing in there. Put some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray away. You can rinse the corpses off when you are done. Smiling

Jack Daniels will work just fine. You put it in a glass and take it with you when you go outside with that spray bottle of rubbing alcohol. Spray, spray, spray (being careful not to get any overspray in your glass). Sip, sip. sip. Repeat step 2 as necessary. Hilarious!
