Any ideas on this one? Evergreen shrub about 2-3 feet high and blooming at the moment.

Very nice! It looks so familiar but I can't place the name. It reminds me of a Viburnum of some sort. Sure is pretty whatever it is! Hopefully someone will come along soon with an ID for you.

Are the leaves and flowers small? It looks like a variety of Lonicera nitida ..

Many thanks everyone! I don't know why I didn't think of Lonicera as now I know where that fragrance is coming from Smiling

I tip my hat to you.

Maygreen, or 'MaigrĂ¼n' looks better behaved than other Lonicera nitida.

Odd, the JC Raulston Arboretum listed Maigruen as Lonicera nitida but like the rest of us, it's probably used the name before the change.

The Plant List:

Lonicera nitida E.H. Wilson is a synonym of Lonicera ligustrina var. yunnanensis Franch.

On the same date the species epithet was decidedly changed on 18th April 212:

Lonicera pileata f. yunnanensis (Franch.) Rehder is a synonym of Lonicera ligustrina var. yunnanensis Franch

It looks like our record needs to be updated.
