Could be 'Frances Williams'. Do the leaves get spring desiccation burn?

If they don't show the burn maybe it's Olive Bailey Langdon (I don't have that or have a picture).

It also looked a bit like my Christmas Pageant.

Do you know when it blooms and what colour the flower is? Also, what zone are you in? That could help.

A hosta in zone 8 could look quite different from the same hosta in zone 5.

Thank you, everyone, for the response. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is not Frances Williams. So far it has shown no sign of dessication even though I have moved it to a sunnier spot.
