Thread OP

What can I do to prepare for Japanese beetle invasion I've had on my plants for past 2 years. I live in Ct. Frustration sets in each year and I feel they are winning the battle. Its early yet, what can I do, please help. Thanks.

Hi Flowersgirl and Welcome! to NGA

I guess it just depends on how large your yard or property is and what’s growing on it. I use “Safer’s Insect Killing Soap” and it’s very effective. You do, however, need to spray the beetles directly, spraying the foliage does no good. Some folks use those beetle traps you hang in your yard. I’ve never tried them but I’ve heard it’s not a good idea. They apparently invite many more beetles to your yard than they trap Smiling
