A retired couple across the street cut down a large plumie that languished under an oak since the late 70s, planted around 1972 when they had full sun. I took all the branches. I planted a couple & have been gifting most. This flower is on an unrooted stick. Color is not true on pic. Red is deeper. Smell has a hint of cinnamon & rose

I've gifted/traded so much over the years that I do not remember that specifically Scott but I trust your memory! If that was mine, at my old place, it came from a large tree that blew over during hurricane Charlie. My fault, I let it grow taller than the roof line. I had sticks up the ying yang & didn't lose a single one. I remember them blooming unrooted 2 yrs later. It took me that long to get rid of them. I felt too guilty trashing them.

Bren, The first flowers have opened on the plants you brought me. The smell reminds me of 'Red Hots' candies.

I thought I smelled a hint of cinnamon so that makes sense. It also smelled like roses too. Red Hot Roses! Maybe Hettie will chime in, I shared with her as well. Still no id. My plants that are rooted now are blooming like crazy and the inflos have gotten much bigger.

I am extremely reluctant to identify any plumeria from just a picture, unless it is extremely distinctive, such as the one in my Avatar.

Hetty, I love the one in your Avatar, what is it?

I'm so excited my first ever plumeria bloomed this year. I got it in 2012 with blooms, but this is the first year it bloomed. I have two branches with flowers and buds. The tag said Lemon Plumeria, smells good but not too sure it is lemony.
