Thread OP

I found this plant by a private pond and was wondering if it was salvia Divinorum? My grandma had some a while back in the area and I was kind of curious.

Hi @Hntzy Welcome to NGA

It appears to match plants I have seen before. It helps if you establish where the plant is located (zone?) Give this a look.

I've never grown Salvia divinorum, but I grow a lot of ornamental Salvia species for the hummingbirds. The leaf venation on your plant is wrong for Salvia. I double-checked with photos online and your plant is definitely NOT Salvia divinorum.

BTW, possession of Salvia divinorum is illegal in the majority of states in the USA.
