Good afternoon
I am in south Florida and really want mine to live. I have read that my conditions here are not the best for this plant. It's hot and humid here. Does anyone ever bring the plant in the house a couple of days per week to give it a break from the sun?
I have mine in an urn style planter with morning sun. Also, how often should I water it?

Thank you
Jen

This is not an answer to either of your questions because our locations couldn't be more diverse. I grow all of my fuchsias in the shade and in the ground, and I have virtually no humidity, but I can tell you my own practices and you can then adjust them for your own location.

I've never brought plants into the house except for a few tropicals that come in for the winter, so I don't know whether that would help.

As for watering, I think you should keep the soil in the container moist but not wet. I water my outdoor fuchsias about once a week, but they're all planted in the ground. Container plants typically need more frequent watering. Your higher humidity, on the other hand, may require less frequent watering.

Sorry, that's probably of no help to you, but I didn't want you to think your thread was being ignored.

Thank you for your help! I have just been keeping an eye on it and for now, it continues to look healthy. Lots of new buds from the time I even posted that post!
