Mojito is fuzzier than apple mint, but you don't always have mojito like you were promised at purchase.

Sooo. What would be a defining characteristic of mojito? My mojito is also not fuzzy, and most of the submitted photos do not look fuzzy to me. Kat reports that hers is fuzzier than apple mint, which is pretty fuzzy. ???

Only peppermint and spearmint. Though I do have lemon balm. I have this problem with basil. Lime, lemon, sweet, thai, cinnamon.. so far...

LOL Robyn--basil addiction is a whole 'nother thread. I also have a basil addition. Have all of those you've mentioned...and a few more.

Robyn I love the gooseberry in you avatar. I'm growing some down here in south Carolina but they don't like the heat that much and must be grown in shade.

I like the gold flecks in the ginger mint.
One photo looked like you have your mints in pots
are they in the ground also?

I have spearmint, peppermint, and chocolate in ground the others are in pots. mint runs so much pot culture is better unless you have a dedicated bed per type of mint. It's also hard to plant anything in with mint unless it's tall enough the mint wont choke it out like trees and shrubs forget about herbaceous perennials and mints mixing it just don't work.

Thanks Linda, the ginger mint is very nice on the noise, tongue, and eyes. I'm a huge fan of variegated plants period, so it had me at hello Lovey dubby I had variegated pineapple mint but it died from some kind of mold and I never replaced it. I stopped adding to my mint collection about 2 years ago and have since started collecting other things including a few non edibles. I still love my mints but 8 varieties is enough for me Thumbs up

It's funny...it used to be really hard to find any Mojito Mint inside the U.S. But yesterday, I saw some for sale at the local grocery store!

Mojito mint came up from below Florida, and can be found there...being mint, I believe they have a few different pleasing tastes that are grown to satisfy the drink that made Mojito famous...i think my pix of same are in a currently incapacitated hard drive. Sorry.

Mojito drinks, Mojito tea also! I'd forgotten I have Chocolate Mint again this year...it's just been sitting in a pot near my other potted mints and the other day I noticed it! OK, it must be nice to have a good memory, but I wouldn't know what that's like. Now, what did I use it for before...hmm!
