my rose of sharon bushes have a BLACKRED SPIKEY WORM,and white cobweby dots that are flat on the top and bottom of the leaves-wondering how to kill hundreds of these weird looking things!!!

Hi Joseph and welcome. Be careful of killing creepy crawlies too quickly - they might be butterfly caterpillars!

A picture of the offending critters would be really helpful, plus also a picture of the bush c/w damage happening.

A picture of the black red spikey worm would certainly help. It could be anything from ladybug larvae:
