Yes, you can get it in spray form. Trust me, they dont like it. UF says to put a line of benzocaine down their back and let them go to sleep. Im going to try that next time in hopes they wont go nuts. A quick cut in half with a shovel would be more humane I think, but that is so far from what I could do with something so big, Im having to go this method.
They do get to know you, are territorial, they stick around in the same place from year to year, and you get used to those big eyes. They do sell them as pets. This one had been around 4 years on my patio on table in the plant. From hence forth, Im going to try to take care of them the first I see them. I just cant believe I tortured that thing so. I would have not even thought about it, but I thought it was going to eat the butterfly cats Im growing. Live and learn.
