It isn't goldenrod that makes you sneeze. It's the ragweed that grows beside it. Let's take a look at this golden beauty that many would like to banish. Aunt Bett and I never could convince Mom that goldenrod didn't cause her allergies; maybe I can convince you.

|I was just googling goldenrod to see pictures to confirm the leaves are what my friends' dog is wild about. I first found pictures of the leaves, then decided to google for more information. That's when I found this interesting article. I so loved your writing style that I joined the organization and started reading more of your stories. I am not a gardener, but I do appreciate plants, and I'm finding the stories of plants and your dear aunt captivating. Perhaps I'll even get motivated to plant something soon. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and memories.|

Gone But Not Forgotten
|Thank you so much! I love hearing words like yours. I really do hope something I've written will open up a whole new world for you, gardening is like that. One plant leads to one more and so it goes. While you're here, look around, everything about this site is informative and fun.
On the left side of this page, in the blue column, scroll down to see different parts of the site, including Blogs. If you have time to read them, you might enjoy that as well. And too, my blog contains a few more of my memories about growing up in the mountains and learning alongside my Aunt Bett as well as my Granny Ninna.
Thank you again so very much. I love your words!
