Thanks for the sympathy. We went to ACE today to get some more ant spray and the shelf was almost bare. The checker said they are getting extra shipments in because everyone is having a problem around here. After I got through spraying yesterday, I got the heebie jeebies thinking I had ants crawling all over me. And more rain forecast for this week.....Maryl

Dinner with in laws last night turned out FUN! Except that my brat of a 39 year old did not show. Stinker. Today it did just what I was expecting---thunder storm, wind, plants wet and blown over-at least they are now watered. Then the power went but, not for long. Dropped wife at church and picked her up. Stinker is always offering to take her to church but then I have to go get her. Are adult children more trouble than when they were small??? Is it just because he is a head taller?--Weedy

I didn't do a lot in the garden today. I took some photos, and I did some watering. It has been very dry here this month. It was hot today, too, near 90 f. We could use some rain!

It's really a garden of perennial, but today I purchased my first daylilys(not sure how to make this word plural, it's new to me). I brought home Strawberry Candy, which it looks like everyone on NGA has Campfire Embers for its rich red, Cosmopolitan, and Daring Deception. I know two of four have reblooming habits.

They only cost $4 at Home Depot right now which I couldn't turn down. I picked through several looking for the most "scapes"(daylily virgin)and purchased about 4 or 5 of each so I can eventually host a plant sale with more varieties and also have a yard of extended blooms.

It certainly IS YOUR forum, Gabe! I'm a total newbie to daylily growing (and everything else, too), so I couldn't claim this one or any other...doesn't mean I shouldn't speak up here or on any of the others. It is all these forums that are teaching me massive amounts of information!
