I have added a "Suggest a change" feature to all threads on the site. You can now propose several things:

1) Changing thread subjects

2) Moving threads to different forums

3) Locking, unlocking, or deleting threads

So, if you see a thread that you feel should be changed, open the thread and scroll to the bottom and click on "Suggest a Change."

Your proposal will then be reviewed by one of our site admins and we'll decide whether to approve or decline the proposal.

In the Ask a Question forum especially, please do suggest moving any of those threads into the appropriate forum. This will be very helpful to us!

I intentionally put a typo in the subject line of this thread. 5 acorns to the first person who fixes it! Hilarious! - @jon found and fixed it. Smiling

I just approved 8 proposals. One from @CarolineScott and 8 from @bonitin. All were great suggestions - thank you!

so do you only propose changes to a thread you started or to threads that other people started? I see a huge issue with this. Lets say I start a thread and a month later I want to go back to that thread again. It could have been moved to another forum, so how do people are watching the thread know where to find it now? am I missing something? Confused

Threads have always been moved when appropriate, especially in the ask a question forum. But it was done by admins when they found them. By giving us an easy way to report them then it makes it easier for the admins to find and get them moved. As far as finding the thread, you will still receive a notice when someone make a post in that thread. If you are looking to return to a thread that you started you can go to your profile page and click on View posts made by (your screen name) then click on View the threads started by (your screen name).
