Hello! This beautiful plant is growing everywhere along the frindges of the golf course I work at here in Stockholm, Sweden. Itlooks like rapeseed to me, although the leaves are a bit to pointy maybe? Could it of escaped from nearby farmland? Any suggestions?

Welcome!

There's a ton of similar looking flowers in Europe. I may have found this, mainly due to the leaf shape and venation.

Bunias orientalis ..

It's not in the main list of Brassicaceae on the following link, scroll down to see the rest.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion, looks like it to me! So the leaves should be edible? Is it worth the risk? There is loads of it around, could be living on cheap organic salads for a while!

We have something similar here called Charlock Mustard (Sinapis arvensis) that is non-native and covers lots In spring. Very edible.

Sinapis arvensis is similar, leaves are generally more rounded and have slightly different venation . Do you eat it Leslie?

You could try eating it Joseph, make sure no dogs have been near it first. Hilarious!

I have had a taste, just the field testing kind of tasting. It's very good when young and tender raw. The flowers are also very tasty. Taste like many other greens. Iv'e seen it for sale at a few of the farmers markets too.
