Moonlit Masquerade is a favorite daylily. I have had it in my garden for 9 years and it has always performed well. My original plant has been divided a few times and bounces back quickly. It is a front of the border plant being quite short but has no trouble with my zone 5 garden. The blooms are always consistent, above the foliage and the bud count is acceptable to me. I love the colors too. This one is a keeper.

I fell in love with Moonlit Masquerade the first time I saw it and still feel the same way. It is one of my most favourite daylilies. The colours are beautiful and it performs great in my zone 3 garden. Mine is planted in a bed that is somewhat shaded in the afternoon and I love how the creamy white background just glows in those conditions.

I have had Moonlit Masquerade for many years now. It is a consistent performer for me in my zone 5 garden. It will occasionally rebloom for me. One of it's children (Mask of Eternity) is a consistent rebloomer. So if one is looking to hybridize with MM for rebloom in the North, I would cross it with another rebloomer to increase the chances of getting a reblooming child.

So funny this is Daylily of the day because today it opened my first bloom for 2016. I have grown it for about 7 years and has rebloomed for me the last 2. I have it planted next to Awakening Dream because they are similar but wanted to showcase the fact that they are indeed very different.
You simply cannot go wrong adding this to your zone 5 garden such as mine. Saw it at 7:30 this morning and again at 6 at night and noticed no fading.

I have had and enjoyed and shared Moonlit Masqurade for many many years. It was one of the first daylilies I got when I started collecting and growing these wonderful flowers. It's one you spot and recognize easily and makes a beautiful show when it's in full bloom in the garden. It never fails to be one that friends will say I want a piece of that one!

I planted MM in 2013, it has been an average increaser, blooms above foliage, and has beautiful color that holds up well in the heat. One negative is, it seems to have one petal that does not lay right on most blooms here.

One of the earliest daylily in my garden to bloom. It also reblooms if conditions are right.

My first bloom of Moonlit Masquerade opened today, too. Perfect bloom, fragrant and beautiful. All my daylilies are about a month late starting this year, but this one has been a fantastic rebloomer for me. I had at least 3 rounds of bloom from it last year.

Unfortunately it's rather susceptible to rust in my garden, so I'll be taking it to Utah to plant in my daughter's garden this year. The dry desert air is excellent for keeping the rust at bay. I'll be SO sad to see it go.

I have had Moonlit Masquerade for three years. It struggles for me. It may like colder climes. I have now dug it up and repositioned the clump. Hopefully, it will do better in the coming season. It is susceptible to rust.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

'Moonlit Masquerade' is a lovely daylily in my garden with a dramatic bloom. I love the coloring. It's on the shorter side, so I've moved it to the front of the bed to appreciate it better. I'm hoping to divide it this year so it can live in another spot too.

I got home from work a little bit ago and was surprised to see two blooms open on MM today! First daylily to bloom here this year. Last year the FFO was on June 6th. I just love these flowers... one of the first daylilies I purchased was Pandora's Box, and this looks like a souped-up version of that Smiling It is a good performer here.

got this plant about 3 years ago but it did not bloom like I thought it would, but then again I had it under a small tree and began to wonder if it was competing with the tree roots for moisture. ( water ) I moved it late last year to one of my prime locations out by the front driveway in full sun so we shall see how it does in this spot. I've seen to many pictures of this daylily performing like a band so we shall see what or how it likes it new location.

Mine is not blooming yet here in my northern garden. This one is always eye catching when in bloom making it a favorite of mine. The contrast between the near white and purple bloom is really beautiful, it has been here many years and will stay.

I have had this one for many years here. It’s lovely, but very slow to increase, and not happy to be divided, so that works out. It is also prettier with a bit of afternoon shade, as our summers are very hot and very humid.
