Hibiscus furcellatus. I purchased this as a seedling last year and this is it's first bloom.

@Horntoad, I assume JCMG is a master gardener's sale, besides there, where are you finding such a variety of hibiscus?

JCMG is Jefferson County Master Gardener's.
Hibiscus moscheutos subsp. moscheutos, Hibiscus moscheutos subsp. lasiocarpos and Hibiscus laevis grow wild locally. I picked up Creole Lady at JCMG sale and the other H. rosa-sinensis came from Lowes. The rest came from scouring the internet for suppliers . You might be surprised at what you can find when you look enough. They don't always come cheap, but hard rare hard to find plants are worth it to me. They most expensive part for me has been shipping.

I spend every night from 11 till wee hours looking for plants online, lol The shipping is ridiculous on most, Blinking
I picked up 5 today to replace what I lost last summer while in hub's care, Big Grin
I would love to go down your way south and find some of the wild ones, Smiling

My mouth dropped open when I saw this one: huge bloom and so, so very pretty!

Thumb of 2016-06-27/piksihk/0fb89d

Someone told me that it is peppermint flare.

"This amazing introduction from Texan Greg Grant is topped all summer with huge 9" flowers which emerge light pink and age to white, except for the wild red flecking throughout the petals...attractive to hummingbirds. Hibiscus 'Peppermint Flare' is a floral sport from Sam McFadden's University of Florida release, the nearly sterile hybrid Hibiscus 'Flare'. Our plants have matured out at 4' tall x 4' wide. Hibiscus 'Peppermint Flare' is very tolerant of alkaline soils...as long as they aren't too dry."

Is this creole lady?

The last of my June Blooms.

Hibiscus calyphyllus. This has produced three blooms so far, but something has been eating the buds at night just before they open. I had to bring it in to be able to actually see a bloom.
